Gary Gensler, chair of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission has hired a new member to his staff who will provide advice on crypto policymaking and interagency work.
SEC Announces Thursday’s Decision Corey Frayer would be joining Gensler’s executive staff as a senior adviser on the agency’s oversight of cryptocurrencies. Frayer worked with the Senate Banking Committee in a variety of roles, including as a senior advisor on policy for the House Financial Services Committee (NYSE:) along with Brad Miller and Maxine Waters.
