Brazil’s Bolsonaro taken to hospital with abdominal pain, doctor says -Breaking

SAO PAULO (Reuters – Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was admitted in the early hours on Monday morning with stomach pain. Bolsonaro’s doctor Antonio Luiz Macedo said that he had been examined by the doctors to assess if surgery may be required.

Brazilian television network Globo displayed images showing Bolsonaro descending the steps of the presidential airplane after it landed in Sao Paulo around 1:30 AM. Globo stated that Bolsonaro was later taken to Vilanova Star hospital.

Bolsonaro had been admitted to hospital several times in the years since being stabbed while he ran for president in 2018. After suffering from chronic hiccups, Bolsonaro was admitted to Vila NovaStar in July 2021 due to an intestinal obstruction.
