AxieInfinity was the top-rated blockchain game in the first half. The project showed the real benefits of blockchain gaming – it saved the lives of many people in the Philippines.

But, when we talk about its popularity, it is important to admit that everything happened at just the right moment. Following the NFT boom, which occurred at the start of the year in the early part of 2000, technology realized its purpose. Because physical collectibles had lost the interactive component, it was necessary to create an environment that would allow the NFTs to benefit from the interaction. The environment is the source of value, not the other way around.

Chainmonsters

It was a very different approach that the developers took to this game’s creation. To be precise, Chainmonsters is the closest game to the original Pokémon series in gameplay and visuals, but features a token-driven economy and blockchain technology. In fact, it is far easier to draw inspiration from something already in existence than create an entirely new idea.

It was also the first game to use blockchain technology. The project was also supported by Solana and Animoca Brands. All of these facts make the project sound promising.

The gameplay, visuals, and moreover right implementation of the blockchain bringing benefits to the game’s economy are the main focus of good projects rather than speculation and purposeless crypto implementation.
