Pope calls for dialogue, justice to end unrest in Kazakhstan -Breaking

The pope said that he had learned that some people were killed in the recent protests in Kazakhstan. He addressed hundreds of people at St. Peter’s Square to receive his noon blessings and address.
The pope stated, “I pray to them and their families. I hope that there will soon be social harmony through dialogue, justice, and the common good.”
According to Kazakhstani officials, they were able to stabilize the country following Sunday’s worst outbreak of violence for 30 years. Russian military forces also remained in Kazakhstan and guarded “strategic infrastructures”.
Russia’s Sputnik news media reported that the Kazakhstan Health Ministry stated that there were 164 deaths in Kazakhstan within the past week.
Protests against rising fuel prices began one week ago and exploded into wider demonstrations against the government.
