Navient resolves state probes into student loan practices -Breaking

(Reuters) – Navient (NASDAQ) Corp announced Thursday that it would pay $145million to resolve multistate lawsuits relating to its student loan practices.

It also announced that it would cancel the loan balances of approximately 66,000 borrowers who owe loans that were made between 2002-2010 and then went into default.

Navient claimed that, as part of its settlement, it has denied violating any laws and causing harm to borrower.
