Daimler Truck sees 20% sales growth in 2021 -Breaking

(Reuters) – Newly spun off commercial vehicle manufacturer Daimler (OTC) Truck reported Tuesday that it sold 455,000 units in 2021. This is a fifth higher than the previous year, but still 13% less than pre-pandemic.

The company stated in a statement that supply chain bottlenecks caused delays in production, particularly in the United States and Europe’s second half.

Trucks Asia did the most well with 30 percent growth. Buses, however, saw little growth with sales at 19,000.

Daimler Truck was spun off last December from Daimler and now is the largest truckmaker in terms of revenue. It will report its complete annual results on March 24,
