© Reuters. Exxon Mobil’s Earnings beat, but Revenue falls in Q4Investing.com – Exxon Mobil (NYSE: ) On Tuesday, the fourth quarter was reported by the company. It beat analyst forecasts but generated less revenue than expected.
Exxon Mobil reported earnings per share at $2.05 on revenues of $84.97B. Investing.com polled analyst to predict EPS of $1.93 based on $85.01B revenue.
Exxon Mobil shares rose 24% over the beginning of this year but are down 0.60% from January 31’s 52 week high $76.42. They are outperforming the S&P 500 which is down 5.26% from the start of the year.
Following the release, Exxon Mobil shares rose by 0.71% in premarket trade.

Exxon Mobil reports on Friday’s earnings miss by Chevron, which reported EPS at $2.56 per share on revenues of $48.13B. This compares to the forecasts of EPS at $3.13 for revenue of $45.34B.
Schlumberger beat all expectations with fourth quarter earnings per share of $0.41 on $6.23B in revenue, as compared to $0.389 forecast on $6.09B revenue.
