Coachella Offers Lifetime Festival Tickets as NFTs

Coachella fans received good news: The annual California music and art festival has started selling NFTs. The Coachella collection included art prints, lifetime festival passes and many other collectibles.

“Only blockchain technology can give us the unique ability to offer tradeable lifetime passes to Coachella for the first time ever,”
said Sam Schoonover, Coachella’s innovation lead.

The Coachella Keys Collection includes 10 types of NFTs which grant access to one festival weekend every April, and Coachella’s virtual experiences. Each key gives you a different experience. For instance, the ‘Key to Sahara’ allows holders to see the show from the artist’s perspective. The ‘Key to Safari‘ will always provide accommodation for the festival while the ‘Key to the Secret Party‘ allows its owner to attend a surprise private party in a secret location in the Coachella fields with a surprise host.

The ‘Desert Reflections’ NFT will provide its holder with a randomly selected digital edition of a Coachella poster by Emek. You can redeem each of these digital editions, which total 1,000 in number, for a printed copy of the artwork.

In the ‘Sights and Sounds‘ collection, fans will be able to find exclusive festival photos and never before heard soundscapes from the Polo Fields. Users will be able to mint one of the 10 possible combinations by minting them. There are 10,000 total NFTs up for grabs.

Coachella teamed up with FTX to build the marketplace on Solana’s blockchain. The creators of this project will receive a portion of proceeds from every NFT sale.

Sale opens at 10 AM PT on February 4th.
