STOCKHOLM – PriceRunner, a price comparisons site, announced Monday it was suing Alphabet-owned Google for 2.1 Billion Euros (or 2.40 Billion). The lawsuit came at a Stockholm court. It claimed that the company had violated antitrust laws when manipulating search results favoring its own comparison shopping service.
PriceRunner claimed that the lawsuit it filed against Google seeks compensation from Google for its profits lost in the U.K. and in Sweden since 2013 as well as the losses in Denmark, Denmark, and Sweden since 2008.
Creades, an investment firm, agreed in November to sell PriceRunner for 1.06 billion Swedish Crowns (124.36 Million).
