Tesla’s bitcoin holdings worth nearly $2 billion

REUTERS/Dado Ruvic/Illustration/File Photo(Reuters) – Tesla (NASDAQ) Inc stated Monday that the fair market value for the bitcoin holdings of electric-vehicle manufacturer Tesla as of Dec. 31, was $1.99 billion.
It had previously invested $1.50 Billion in bitcoin, and it briefly accepted cryptocurrency last year as payment for certain product sales.
