U.S. Figure Skating has announced it will start accepting cryptocurrency donations via Engiven’s web platform. It also offers a way for people to make gifts and donate to the organization. Crypto donations will help fund several organizational projects, including Destination Beijing, which bring athletes’ family and friends together in celebration of major international competitions when travel to the event is not possible.

The U.S. Figure Skating team competes around the world, and their family and friends will still be able to support them. Their family will be there to support them, despite continuing pandemics. The upcoming Destination Beijing Celebration will allow family and friends to gather in “U.S. Figure Skating’s Family Room” to watch their loved ones compete on U.S. Figure Skating’s media partner NBCU.

Donations to the Destination Beijing program will help bring these family and friends together and — through the magic of NBC — give them the opportunity for direct, live communication with their athlete after competitions. Together, they will share their stories, hopes and pride during this unique time to cheer on their athletes as they compete on the world’s greatest stage.

U.S. Figure Skating has partnered with Engiven to power an enterprise-level donation platform which allows nonprofits to accept cryptocurrency donations in order to fund their cause. Engiven automatically verifies the donations made on blockchain and converts crypto to USD. The funds are immediately transferred to the U.S. Figure Skating. U.S. Figure Skating was the first National Governing Body of the United States to receive gifts in multiple cryptocurrencies.

The donor can still choose the fund that their donation will go to, regardless of whether they are supporting Destination Beijing or Friends of Figure Skating. Each gift made to the U.S. Every gift to U.S. Figure Skating is tax-deductible. It has an impact on the success and growth of figure skaters across the nation. Donations provide over $1 million annually to the Organization’s athletes and programs.
