Chingari’s new mobile app is a decentralized short-video app. The GARI native token was launched today (February 14, 2022) on Google Play Store (NASDAQ::) and Apple App Store (NASDAQ::).

Chingari, often known as the “Indian Tiktok,” intends to redefine the content production scene on its platform to integrate the app’s millions of daily users to the blockchain. As the main Chingari ecosystem token, GARI will allow users to ‘tip’ and ‘boost’ their favorite content producers’ profiles and content on the Chingari app.

GARI can be deposited and withdrawn using the in-app wallet. They can also trade the token on some of the world’s top cryptocurrency exchanges. Sumit Ghosh is the CEO and Co-founder at Chingari. He commented on recent integrations of GARI into the app wallet.

According to the team the GARI token can now be traded on both centralized or decentralized exchanges such as FTX, Kucoin and Huobi.

GARI is being introduced on Solana Blockchain as an SPL token. This will allow for cost-effective, fast on-chain transactions. In the next quarter, the GARI network will introduce a video NFT market on the Chingari App.

Users of the Chingari App will also be able build sub-economies on the platform through the GARI ecosystem. This is a major step towards establishing a Web 3 metaverse for video production. As a result, content creators can engage with customers, sell their products and create unique NFTs.

According to the Network, it plans to establish a cryptocurrency-powered creator economy in Chingari. Hence, the platform’s economic environment encourages curation by compensating the best content providers for their efforts, as well as users for viewing and sharing videos.
