Wyoming lawmakers introduce legislation for state-issued stablecoin -Breaking

The Wyoming Legislature has four legislators who have sponsored legislation that would permit the state treasurer issuing a stablecoin.
Wyoming’s state senators Chris Rothfuss (Wyoming) and Tara Nethercott (House Representatives Jared Olsen, Mike Yin) will meet on Thursday. Introduced Senate File SF0106, titled the “Wyoming Stable Token Act.” If signed into law, the bill would authorize the treasurer to issue a U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin redeemable for fiat held in an account by the state.
