Russian troops enter Ukraine: How the World Reacts

Russian troops entered the eastern Ukraine territories on Monday night. It happened just hours after Vladimir Putin had recognized Donetsk’s independence from Luhansk. These are two Ukrainian regions that Moscow-backed separatists have occupied since 2014.

Leaders around the world condemned Kremlin as violating international agreements. They also accused it of creating pretexts for war.
