Man with gun takes hostage at Amsterdam Apple store, broadcaster reports -Breaking

AMSTERDAM, Reuters -Dutch authorities claimed they sent special units into Amsterdam’s central square to deal with a man holding a gun in an Apple (NASDAQ) Store. Local broadcaster AT5 had reported a hostage taking during an apparent robbery.

Multiple video clips posted on the site of the broadcaster appeared to show an individual being held at gunpoint.

Amsterdam police posted the following tweet: “There is an individual with a firearm inside the store… Police forces are there with many units, specialist units at scene to control the situation.”

One end of the Leidseplein is where you will find the Apple Store, which can be found on the southern side of the city.
