Qantas posts deeper H1 loss but says outlook improving -Breaking

REUTERS/Loren ElliottSYDNEY (Reuters – Qantas Airways Ltd reported a larger A$1.28 trillion ($925.57 Million) first-half underlying lost before tax. It was a difficult period for the airline due to border closings, but stated that it is improving and restrictions are decreasing.
In the six-month period ended December 31, 2016, the airline’s largest financial indicator, the underlying loss before taxes was greater than the A$1.03 trillion loss one year ago.
Also, the airline reported a loss of A$245million before interest, taxes, and amortization, which is slightly higher than its December prediction of A$250m to A$300m loss.
