Christo/File photoWASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The World Bank and International Monetary Fund announced on Thursday that they are working together to protect their employees in Ukraine from a Russian invasion. While the leaders of the institutions assess the impact of the conflict, the organizations’ chiefs also confirmed the same.
“Most of our employees have already moved outside Ukraine. “Some staff still remain in Ukraine due to extenuating family and personal reasons,” World Bank President David Malpass told Reuters in an internal memo.
“We will continue to find options for those who decide not to leave the nation at this time.”
