Ukraine seeks disarmament meeting on Russia’s invasion, weapons of mass destruction -Breaking

GENEVA, (Reuters) – On Tuesday, Ukraine’s foreign ministry told a disarmament conference that Russia has committed war crimes by its “indiscriminate bombardment” of Kharkiv. He called for a special meeting to address Russian aggression as well as weapons of mass destruction.

Dmytrokuleba said that “nothing can justify missile shelling residential buildings, kindergartens orphanages hospitals and emergency vehicles as well as passengers buses and millions fleeing Russian war” in a video address to the Geneva-based forum.

According to the Ambassador of Ukraine, the forum heard that Kiev demanded a meeting about the “global threat” to world peace and security resulting from Russian aggression towards Ukraine (including its WMD component).

Russia refers to its actions in Ukraine as a “special operations” and says it isn’t meant to occupy any territory. Its purpose is to degrade the military capabilities of its southern neighbor, capture dangerous nationalists, and destroy their military capability.
