In the UAE, NFT and Metaverse are gaining momentum. What makes them trending now is DAMAC properties’ plan to launch the metaverse project in March. Ali Sajwani (Managing Director) of the company recently stated that his company was looking at other ways to incorporate NFTs into its business.
As we all know, DAMAC is a multi-billionaire property developer and also owns brands like Roberto Cavalli (purchased 2019). So, while most use the term metaverse loosely we think it is much more and we have come up with a solution where we bridge the physical and digital assets to allow for cross-utilization.’
It would be the first property developer listed on the London Stock Exchange that is geared up to take part in the project.
