Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

Frankfurt closed with an additional 7.92%. The index gained 6.65% and the index gained 6.34%.

Adidas AG (DE) was the best performer of the session, rising 12.86% or 23.78 point to close at 208.72. Meanwhile, Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. Puma SE (DE) gained 11.55%, or 4.59 point to finish at 44.37. Puma SE was up 11.0% or 7.53 to 73.57 late trade.

These were the worst performers of the session. Siemens Energy AG (DE): The close was marked by a 1.29% drop or 0.27 point to trade at 20,73 Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (DE) added 2.27 percent or 2.20 to finish at 98.92. Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) increased 4.40% or 15.60 to 370.20.

These were the top performers on MDAX Lanxess AG (DE:), which rose 13.24% at 41.42 Uniper SE (DE:), which rose 11.91% to settle in 19.92, and AUTO1 Grup SE (DE:), which gained 11.87% until closing at 11.36.

These were the worst performers Rheinmetall AG (DE:) which was down 4.74% to 143.85 in late trade, K&S AG (DE:) which lost 0.63% to settle at 22.00 and Rational AG (DE:) which was up 0.54% to 628.40 at the close.

The TecDAX’s top performers were Siltronic AG (DE) which increased 12.43% to 95.80 Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. O.N. TeamViewer AG (DE:), which increased 9.80% to close at 12.77

These were the worst performers Nordex SE O.N. (DE:), which fell 6.12% to 16.86 late trade. SMA Solar Technology AG(DE:), which lost 3.29 percent to settle at 39.36, was also down. Varta AG (DE:), which rose 4.01% to close at 86.14

Rising stocks outnumbered falling ones at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, 585-128 to 40.

For April delivery, gold futures fell 2.50% (51.00) to $1.992.30 a troy an ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil fell 9.75%, or 12.06, to $111.64 per barrel. The May Brent oil contract dropped 10.36%, or 13.26, to trade at $114.72 per barrel.

EUR/USD rose by 1.63%, to 1.11; EUR/GBP rose by 1.03% at 0.84.

At 97.96, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 1.14%.
