India’s February retail inflation up 6.07% y/y

NEW DELHI, (Reuters) – India’s retail inflation increased by 6.07% in February compared to a year earlier, but remained above the tolerance limit set by the central bank for the second consecutive month, according to government data published Monday.

A Reuters poll showed that analysts had forecast annual inflation of 5.93%. This is a little lower than the Reserve Bank of India target of 2%-6%.
