(Reuters) – A new U.S. government report reveals that misogynistic extremists such as the “incel,” who killed two women at a Florida yoga center and inflicted four others, can present warning signs to help reduce violent crime.

On Thursday, the U.S. Secret Service released a National Threat Assessment. This assessment was based on the case study of 2018’s shooting at Tallahassee Hot Yoga. A 40-year old former U.S. Army soldier opened fire, then shot himself.

According to the report, “Hateful acts against women, as well as the gender-based violence, require increased attention from all those who have a responsibility for public safety.”

The report states that the Tallahassee murderer fit the criteria of an involuntarily Celibate. Incels are men who cannot have a relationship with a woman they love.

Incels are sometimes known as anti-feminists. They can also be called “anti-feminists.” You can communicate with them through the “manosphere,” which includes a range of forums and sites that encourage male dominance, extremist ideologies against women and sexual objectification.

This threat exists not only in cases of high profile but also in common crimes like stalking and domestic abuse.

The report stated that law enforcement agencies, courts and mental health professionals need to work together in order to respond to this threat.

The report stated that in addition to the obvious signs of extreme misogyny a potential attacker might also show other symptoms such as despair, needing belonging or connection with others and desire for attention.

Tallahassee gunman, who self-described himself as misogynists, raised concern over his parents, siblings, colleagues, classmates, military personnel, and school district, where he worked as substitute teacher.
