Bank of England to consult on applying final Basel changes in 2025 -Breaking

LONDON, (Reuters) – The Bank of England stated Monday it will implement a final series of regulatory changes post-financial crises Basel 3 regulations. This change would take effect on January 1, 2025. Consultation is required to begin in the last three months of 2018.

Basel 3.1, the final package of bank prudential reforms created in response to financial crisis 2008/09 is called. “It is an important, comprehensive package that will make substantial changes in the way banks calculate Risk weighted assets,” said the BoE.
