REUTERS/Rebecca CookWASHINGTON, (Reuters) – General Motors Co. (NYSE:) announced Tuesday that it would recall 740,000 U.S.-made sport utility vehicles in order to fix a headlight glare problem. This was after U.S. regulators denied its request to not call them back.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration refused GM’s request to be declared inconsequential by GM for 2019 GMC Terrain cars from the 2010 to 2017 model years. GM claimed that the issue was fixed with replacement parts. It does not affect any current models. According to GM, a fix is being developed.
