REUTWASHINGTON (Reuters] – Tuesday’s White House presentation will detail President Joe Biden’s recent trip to Belgium, Poland and other European countries to show unity after Russia invaded Ukraine.
Biden and U.S. Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin will be traveling to Brussels on Wednesday with the European Union and NATO headquarters. They’ll meet with other leaders on Thursday. In a gesture of support to an ally, Biden will travel to Warsaw.
Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor will provide a briefing to reporters about the trip Tuesday at the White House.
Jen Psaki of the White House stated that Monday’s trip would result in specific deliverables or results, but she declined to elaborate.
At 1 p.m. ET (1700 GMT), Sullivan will answer questions from journalists about his trip to Ukraine and the current situation there.
United States and allies have imposed severe sanctions on Russia in response to its invasion of Ukraine. They also supplied weapons and assistance worth billions of dollars. Biden promised not to send U.S. military personnel into Ukraine. However, he also said that it will continue its support for NATO members in case of attack.
