WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Two senior U.S. Senate Democrats on Monday urged Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate and prosecute unruly air passengers in the face of a rising number of incidents.

Dick Durbin, Senate Majority Whip and Maria Cantwell urged the Justice Department to work together to ensure that passengers who are deemed criminally charged …. The Federal Aviation Administration is not able to stop criminal behavior by air travelers.
