(Reuters.) – In text messages, a senior Google security manager crudely mocked a company security officer. It was all part of a pattern for workplace harassment of the Black gay employee. The employee filed a lawsuit this week.

David Brown (NASDAQ:) Inc, security company Allied Universal and Alphabet, are jointly employed in this lawsuit. They seek unspecified monetary damage for alleged sexual orientation- and race-based harassment that took place at Google’s Los Angeles headquarters.

Google and Allied Universal have not yet responded to comment requests.

Google, among other major companies, has intensified efforts to build inclusive work places following social protests that raised awareness to racism. Some employees at Google have stated that the company doesn’t hold the perpetrators responsible, which includes over 2000 who signed an open letter in April.

Brown’s supervisor was responsible for much of Brown’s alleged problems. According to the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles, it included “grabbing him on his buttocks,” “kicking him in their groins, throwing him through the window head first, brutally grasping his nipples” and other such behavior.

According to the filing, Henry Linares was dismissed as a supervisor. LinkedIn profiles indicate that he quit Google and Allied Universal July. He didn’t immediately respond to my request for comment.

Rus Rossini (Google’s global community operations senior manager), “participated to the discrimination, sexual harassment, and took no corrective actions,” according to the lawsuit.

Rossini contacted the supervisor last year to discuss items that were missing from Google’s offices. The conversation was a result of the pandemic. According to the lawsuit, and a screenshot taken by Reuters, Rossini said, “Strip search for all.”

Rossini responded, “David will love that”, and then Rossini said, “Tell David that to bend over.” Brown shared the screen with Brown’s supervisor. He replied, “hahah, I’ll tell you that Hellooo!”

Rossini has not yet responded to my request for comment. According to his LinkedIn profile, Rossini is still employed by Google.

Brown’s attorney V. James DeSimone said Rossini should have addressed the abuse, especially after Brown “turned those screenshots to human resources, implicating Rossini in the harassment.”
