MANILA, (Reuters) – Rodrigo Duterte, the Philippine president said Saturday that he is retiring from politics as he declines to be a candidate for vice-presidential elections next year.

According to Senator Christopher “Bong”, Go of Duterte’s PDP–Laban party said that he would run in Duterte’s place.
