Trump asks Florida judge to force Twitter to restart his account

(Reuters) – A former U.S. president Donald Trump requested that a Florida federal judge force Twitter (NYSE 🙂 to restore his account. Bloomberg News reported this late Friday.
In July Trump sued (https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-says-he-is-suing-facebook-twitter-google-claiming-bias-2021-07-07 Twitter), Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:) And Alphabet (NASDAQ;) Inc’s Google and their chief executives allege they illegally silence conservative views.
Trump requested a preliminary injunction against Twitter on Friday evening in Miami. The request claimed that the social media giant had removed his account from January due to pressure from Congressmen.
Twitter did not respond to our request for comment. Reuters requested comment from Trump representatives outside of business hours.
Trump’s social media power was eroded this year by companies claiming he had violated policies that prohibit glorifying violence.
His supporters launched an attack on the Capitol in New York City on January 6, after Trump made a speech in which he claimed that Trump lost his election because of fraud. Multiple courts rejected Trump’s claim.
Bloomberg quotes the request of the ex-president as saying that Twitter has “an immeasurable degree of control and power over political discourses in this country”
