Nvidia offers EU concessions over Arm buy By Reuters

BRUSSELS, (Reuters) – Nvidia (NASDAQ 🙂 offered concessions to obtain EU antitrust approval in a bid for the $54 billion purchase of British chip design firm Arm. A European Commission filing revealed this Wednesday.
Arm, the world’s largest maker of AI and graphics chips, announced the agreement last year. This raised concerns within the semiconductor industry about whether Arm would continue to be neutral in licensing intellectual property key to competitors and customers.
According to its policy, the EU competition enforcer didn’t provide any details about concessions. The deadline to make its decision was Oct. 27,
