European stocks dip on tech losses, U.S. jobs caution By Reuters

REUTERS/Staff(Reuters] European stocks fell Friday, as falls in the technology sector outweighed gains in oil shares and auto shares. However, investors remained cautious in anticipation of U.S. payrolls data.
The pan-European index slipped 0.2%, with tech stocks down 0.9%, while oil & gas stocks jumped 1.1% as crude prices rose on doubts the U.S. government would release oil from its strategic reserves. [O/R]
The benchmark still showed weekly gains despite temporary relief from the U.S. government debt ceiling and worries about rising energy prices pushing inflation higher.
UK stock travel, including British-Airways owners ICAG Whitbread Ryanair and (LON) gained 0.5% to 2.9% respectively after Britain decided not to enforce strict COVID-19 quarantine regulations for 47 countries.
TUI Group shares listed in the UK plunged 12.3%.
