Boeing deals with new defect on 787 Dreamliner

(Reuters) – Boeing (NYSE) Co has a new defect in its 787 Dreamliner. It involves some titanium parts that are less strong than necessary, according to the Wall Street Journal, citing sources familiar with the situation.

Reports state that 787s manufactured in the three previous years have the defect.

Boeing has not yet responded to Reuters’s request for comment.

After the report, shares of the company fell by 1.5%.
