Morgan Stanley Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q3 By Investing.com

Investing.com Morgan Stanley (NYSE: ) announced Thursday that the third quarter beat analyst forecasts with revenue surpassing expectations.

Morgan Stanley reported earnings per share at $2.04 on $14.75B in revenue. Investing.com polled analyst to predict EPS at $1.69 on $13.93B revenue.

Morgan Stanley shares rose 43% over the first of the year. However, they are down 6.97% from their 52 week peak of $105.95 (September 28th). They are outperforming the S&P Global 100 which is up 13.65% from the start of the year.

Morgan Stanley shares rose 1.48% during pre-market trading following the release.

Morgan Stanley’s earnings report comes after JPMorgan reported an earnings beat on Wednesday. JPMorgan reported EPS at $3.74 per share on $30.44B in revenue, while forecasts called for EPS at $3 on $29.86B revenue.

UnitedHealth beat all expectations with a third quarter earnings per share of $4.52 on $72.34B in revenue, as compared to a forecast of EPS at $4.41 for $71.3B.
