Valve is a videogame company that has stated to its users that it will not allow content related cryptocurrency tokens or other nonfungible tokens through its Steam Marketplace.

As reportedSpacePirate, a game developer, updated the guidelines on what content creators can publish on Steam on October 14. Steam says that there are no new applications Constructed on blockchain technology that “issue or allow exchange of cryptocurrencies or NFTs” are permitted in its onboarding process for partners. This rule is in addition to guidelines that prohibit hate speech and sexual explicit images as well as libelous statements or defamatory statements.
