Valve, a video game company has advised users that no cryptocurrency or non-fungible token content will be permitted through the Steam marketplace.
As reportedSpacePirate, a game developer, updated the guidelines on what content creators can publish on Steam on October 14. Steam states that no applications have been received. Constructed on blockchain technology that “issue or allow exchange of cryptocurrencies or NFTs” are permitted in its onboarding process for partners. This rule is in addition to guidelines that prohibit hate speech and sexually explicit pictures, as well as libelous statements or defamatory statements.
