Apple Reveals Latest Macbook Pro with Updated In-House Chips By Investing.com

Investing.com — Apple (NASDAQ) unveiled Monday its refreshed Macbook Pro, with its updated components known as the M1 Pro or M1 Max chips.
Apple shares gained 0.7% on Monday
The company revealed that its chips were 70% more efficient than previous M1 chips in an event called “Unleashed”. It revealed the M1 Pro chip supports 32GB of total memory and 200gbps of memory bandwidth, three times as much as the previous M1 chip, while the M1 Max has a four times faster GPU performance than the standard M1. Apple said the M1 chips will give applications on the Mac operating system a “huge boost.”
Apple’s move to include chips in its products is being seen as an attempt to eliminate them. Intel Corp (NASDAQ:) Chips from its Computers Intel is a major player in the chip market for some time and supplies chips to Apple’s Macbook Pro over 15 years. Intel estimates that approximately 80% worldwide computers are equipped with Intel processors.
Apple is determined to compete with Intel on the market. Apple describes the chips as the “first pro chips” and “a significant leap forward”.
Available in sizes 14-16 inches, the new Macbook models can be ordered.
The company announced the new Macbook Pro and Apple Music Voice plans, which are subscriptions tiers for Apple Music that revolve around Siri.
