Yield Guild Games Available onboards Additional Projects: Star Atlas and Thetan Arena

A company which helped Filipinos survive the Pandemic through borrowing gaming NFTs, is expanding its portfolio. Three major projects were onboarded in the past week. Essentially, the project’s system works by lending expensive gaming characters to people who are interested in short term income, or earning for their own character.

The YGG Catalog now includes the highly-anticipated Thetan Arena. It is a blockchain MOBA that promises to be a huge success. Yield Guild Games has invested in 250 heroes regular, 100 epic heroes and 50 legendary heroes. The scholarships will include these gaming characters and NFTs.

Yield Guild Games bought Star Atlas NFT gaming assets in the amount of $1M. It is an intergalactic multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) with nearly AAAA graphics.

YGG also invested in a third space game. The space strategy MMO Influence was purchased by YGG. One large, in-game asteroid is owned by the guild. It’s worth 32.86ETH (78K USD), and 30 smaller ones. The total amount of these asteroids are $10K USD.

  • This transforms gaming into making money, which is a completely different concept. It is becoming an all-time job to play crypto games just for the income.

Nine Chronicles invites content creators to exchange for rewards

Nine Chronicles, which is supported by Ubisoft (a giant in the gaming industry), is a blockchain-based project. The game is a fully decentralized RPG, which means it’s owned by the entire community, not a corporation.

To spread information about the game, the project decided to include more content creators. You will receive $30 per month in $NCG for creating a minimum 2 content pieces each month.

Creators who have 500+ followers on social media will receive a higher reward, which is $150 in $NCG. This native token of the game, however, can be used to pay a greater amount.

  • The content piece can be either a blog post, or an article. They both require different amount of time and this makes it quite unfair. In an ideal world, they could offer different prices for different kinds of content.

Treeverse and Decimated – A Step Closer to the Release After Successful Investment Rounds

Fundraising campaigns for two promising blockchain-based gaming projects have just ended. In a private round of investment, Decimated was able to raise $3.5M for its 3D multiplayer RPG featuring a cyberpunk aesthetic. It looks like Cyberpunk 2077 meets Fortnite with both PvE as well as PvP elements. Polygon is used to run the project.

Treeverse was the second project that raised $25M during an initial round of funding. This is quite impressive. The fund’s success is due to the fact that they were backed Animoca Brands. This pioneer in blockchain gamification was also a founder of the fund. Treeverse, a stunning looking pixelated MMORPG in the style of The Legend of Zelda’s 16-bit visual style is beautiful.

  • Treeverse has more to offer, even though Decimated is available as an early access game, particularly after the great amount of money that Treeverse received!

Gaming News: Micro Bites, Shroom Kingdom, Light Nite and Grasshopper farm

Shroom Kingdom Roadmap Announced

Mario Reder, the creator of Shroom Kingdom, finally unveiled the project’s roadmap. Shroom Kingdom will transmit Super Mario Maker level and its mechanics to the blockchain. So far, three out 13 milestones have been achieved. It’s Important to note that “creating in-game-design and NFTs” as well as “developing the actual game” are at the back of the line. This means it’s going to take quite some time until we get the game itself.

Light Nite Won’t Be Released on Steam

In the past few years, battle royales has become an increasingly popular genre of gaming. Fortnite and PUBG were the catalyst for this phenomenon. Light Nite now makes it possible to play battle royale on the Blockchain. The sad news is that the game won’t be available on Steam anymore. In the blog post, the developers explained that “[Steam] will not be shipping crypto or NFTs games.”

Grasshopper Farm Now Takes Deposits through PayPal (NASDAQ)

The Grasshopper Farm, with its bizarre-looking logo posted the October update. Developers noted that PayPal now allows for deposits. You can now buy a machinegun for your grasshopper even more easily!

  • It’s strange that while Light Nite was taken away from Steam, other NFT games haven’t been. Stormrite, however, is listed as still upcoming.
