India stocks higher at close of trade; Nifty 50 up 0.76% By Investing.com

Investing.com – India stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

NSE closed with the Index up 0.76%, and the NSE Gained 0.75%.

These were the best performers of the session Hindalco Industries Ltd. (NS): Traded at 543.15 after the close, up 5.24%. That’s 27.05 point. In the meantime Infosys Ltd (NSP:) was up 4.45% or an additional 76.40 points, to finish at 1792.15 Tech Mahindra Late trade saw Ltd (NS) rise 3.41%, or 48.85 point to 1479.65

They were also the session’s worst performers HCL Technologies Ltd (NS): fell 2.38%, or 29.75 point to trade at 1221.40 by the close. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., NS:), declined by 2.20% (or 20.45 points) to close at 910.95 Asian Paints Ltd. (NS 🙂 fell 1.71%, or 56.30 point to 3241.50.

BSE Sensex 30’s top performers were Infosys Ltd. (BO) who rose 4.47% at 1792.15; Tech Mahindra Ltd. (BO) which was up 3.36% at 1478.30, and Tata Steel Ltd. (BO) which increased 2.73% at close at 1411.10.

The worst performers were HCL Technologies Ltd (BO:) which was down 2.36% to 1221.35 in late trade, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (BO:) which lost 2.24% to settle at 910.80 and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd (BO:) which was down 1.73% to 4873.85 at the close.

On the India National Stock Exchange, rising stocks outnumbered those in decline by 887-852, and 43 ended unchanged. The Bombay Stock Exchange saw 1701 rise and 1562 fall, and 154 ending unchanged.

The shares of Hindalco Industries Ltd., (NS:), rose to new highs by 5.24% or 27,05 to 543.15. Infosys Ltd.’s shares (NS) reached all-time highs with a 4.45% increase or 76.40 to 17.92.15. Infosys Ltd’s shares (BO:), rose to record highs with a gain of 4.47%, or 76.65, to 1792.15.

The was up 8.99% from 17.1850 to measure the implied volatility for Nifty 50 options.

The December delivery of Gold Futures was lower by 0.33%, or 5.80, to $1762.50 per troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose by 1.33 or $83.06 to reach $83.06/barrel, and December Brent oil, which rose by 1.02 or $85.88 to trade at $85.88/barrel.

USD/INR rose 0.4% to 75.345 and EUR/INR rose 0.3% to 87.2990.

At 94.097, the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.17%.
