MILAN (Reuters) – Stellantis’ luxury brand Maserati stated Monday that due to a worldwide chip shortage, the launch date for its SUV Grecale was being delayed until the spring next year.

An initial ‘global premier’ was scheduled for November 16.

Maserati stated in a statement that “due to a shortage of semiconductors, production quantities would not be able to adequately respond the expected global demand.”
