Peter Thiel (NASDAQ: PayPal) is a co-founder of PayPal and a billionaire venture capitalist. He believes he could have an insight into how to find it. Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin’s (BTC) pseudonymous creator who disappeared two years after mining the cryptocurrency’s genesis block in January 2009.

This theory was born out of an E-Gold founding team meeting that took place in February 2000. There, around 200 people met on a beach in Anguilla in order to develop a strategy for creating a new currency system capable of challenging central banks. E-Gold was an electronic gold currency. It collapsed in 2007, after its founders were charged by the United States Justice Department.
