Aramco aims for net zero emissions from operations by 2050, CEO says -Breaking

REUTERS/Ahmed Jadallah/File PhotographRIYADH / Reuters Saudi Aramco Amin Nasser (CEO: SE:) stated on Saturday that it aims at net zero emissions by its operations by 2050, while simultaneously building hydrocarbon capacities and increasing its maximum sustained production to 13 million barrels/day.
Nasser spoke at the Saudi Green Initiative Summit, where Nasser informed the summit that Saudi Aramco was on track to achieve its ambition of becoming net zero for all operations by 2050. Nasser’s speech came after the crown prince of Saudi Arabia had previously announced that the Gulf Arab State would become net zero by 2060.
Nasser stated that Aramco would be able to reduce the amount of liquid burning within the kingdom by investing in gas.
