HSBC hires Sarah Wiggins to head UK investment banking push -Breaking

LONDON (Reuters] HSBC has named Sarah Wiggins Vice Chair, Global Banking, London, according an internal memo that Reuters saw on Wednesday.

Wiggins from Linklaters will join the bank as a legal representative at the end the first quarter in 2022. The memo stated that Wiggins would be responsible for building HSBC’s investment banking operations in Britain.

This is just the latest in a series of appointments made by Greg Guyett as co-head for Global Banking and Markets. He is trying to strengthen HSBC’s ties with corporate leaders and improve its investment banking performance.

A bank spokesperson confirmed that the memo was true.
