India stocks lower at close of trade; Nifty 50 down 0.31% -Breaking

India stocks are lower as of close to trade.

Investing.com – India stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The index fell 0.34%, and the NSE lost 0.331% at the closing.

These were the best performers of the session Asian Paints Ltd. (NS), rose 4.20% to trade at 309.65. UPL Ltd. (NS) gained 3.96%, or 28.25 point to close at 741.50. Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. was up 2.9%, or 115.10 to 5134.00 late trade.

AXIS Bank Ltd. (NS:) was the worst performer of the session, falling 6.46% or 54.40 point to trade at 787.50 by the end. Bajaj Finance Ltd (NS.:) dropped 4.75% (373.50 points) to finish at 7482.15, while Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (NS.:) was down 3.19% or 5.20 to 157.90.

BSE Sensex 30 was dominated by Asian Paints Ltd.. (BO :), which rose 4.42% and settled at 3094.20. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.. (BO 🙂 was up 1.45% to settle in 825.35. Infosys Ltd.. (BO 🙂 gained 1.44% to end at 1728.70.

AXIS Bank Ltd., (BO) was the worst performer. It fell 6.52% to 787.35 late trade. Bajaj Finance Ltd. (BO) lost 4.70% and settled at 7480.35. Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (BO) was at 1.85% to 18009.95 by close.

Indian National Stock Exchange: Rising stocks outnumbered falling ones by 927-816; 58 finished unchanged. On Bombay Stock Exchange, 1705 rose, 1375 fell, while 130 finished unchanged.

The December delivery of Gold Futures was lower by 0.14%, or 2.55, to $1790.85 per troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which fell by 1.15 or 1.36% to reach $83.50/barrel, and January Brent oil, which fell 0.99 or 1.16% to trade at $84.66/barrel.

USD/INR increased 0.15% by 75.049 to $75.049 while EUR/INR gained 0.13% at 86.9900.

US Dollar Index Futures were up 0.4% at 93.977.
