WASHINGTON (Reuters), U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai stated on Thursday that she was trying to reduce the dangerously high temperature in a trade relationship with China.

Tai spoke to the National Chicken Council and said the U.S.-China relationship feels “kind of like a pile tinder” where a misunderstanding “is likely just to ignite a huge fire with really, really dire implications for all of you.”
