Investing.com – Australia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The loss was 1.44% at the Sydney close.

GUD Holdings Ltd., (ASX:) rose 6.92% to trade at 12.20. Reece Ltd. (ASX) gained 5.63%, or 1.06 point to close at 19.89. JB Hi-Fi Ltd. (ASX) was up 4.25%, or 2.06 to 50.49 late trade.

They were also the worst performers of the session. Unibail Rodamco Westfield (ASX): The ASX fell 6.23% (0.32 points) to trade at 4.82 by the close. Pointsbet Holdings Ltd (ASX:), fell 4.40%, or 0.38 points, to finish at 8.25 Megaport Ltd (ASX): The ASX was 0.79 points lower at 17.91, down 4.22%.

The Sydney Stock Exchange saw falling stocks surpass advancing stock by 812, 572 and 397 respectively.

Pointsbet Holdings Ltd. shares (ASX) dropped to 52-week highs.

Dec delivery gold futures fell 0.28% to $1797.55 per troy an ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose 0.14 or 0.17 to reach $82.95/barrel, and January Brent oil, which rose 0.19 or 0.16, to trade at $83.82/barrel.

AUD/USD was up 0.2% at 0.7545 while AUD/JPY was up 0.05% at 85.71.

At 93.407, the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.09%.
