Bidens attend Mass in Rome, a day after meeting Pope Francis -Breaking

ROME (Reuters] – Joe Biden and Jill Biden attended Mass Saturday night in Rome’s American Church of Rome. This was a day following the U.S. President met Pope Francis. He later stated that the pontiff told him he is a good Catholic who can receive communion.

The chasm between Francis and the conservative U.S. Bishops has been widening due to Biden’s support for abortion rights.

A witness inside the church said Saturday that the president had received communion.

Biden often attends Mass in Washington, D.C., on either Saturday night or Sunday. Biden attended Mass in St. Patrick’s Church near the U.S Embassy, while visiting Rome for a G20 summit, which was attracting the world’s wealthiest nations.

Catholics may attend Mass on Saturday to fulfill Sunday obligation.

Nancy Pelosi is the Speaker of the House and a Catholic. She attended Mass there earlier this month. However, she was forced to flee early by a security threat. This came about because people were protesting against vaccinations with coronavirus in another nearby area.
