HAMBURG (Reuters). HAMBURG (Reuters). The Volkswagen Supervisory Board’s Mediation Committee (DE) will discuss Herbert Diess’s future. Three people with knowledge of the matter spoke out after a renewed conflict between labor and management.

After sources claimed that Diess stated to a September supervisory board meeting that there were 30,000 job losses as a result of Volkswagen’s transition, the Volkswagen works council called for the planned meeting.

Sources spoke under condition of anonymity and could not confirm the date.

Spokespeople of Volkswagen SE, the largest shareholder and Volkswagen’s supervisory body, Diess, as well as Porsche SE were all unavailable for comment.
