Becton Dickinson Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q4 -Breaking

Becton Dixon (NYSE:), reported Thursday that the fourth quarter beat forecasts by analysts and that revenue was higher than expected.

Becton Dickinson posted earnings per share in the range of $2.59 to $5.14B on revenues of $5.14B. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted EPS at $2.45 for revenue of $4.91B.

Becton Dickinson shares have fallen 1% since the start of the year. However, they are still 7.61% below their 52-week high of $267.37 on January 12. They are under-performing the S&P 500 which is up 24.08% from the start of the year.

Becton Dickinson joins other top Healthcare sector earnings for this month

Becton Dickinson’s report follows an earnings beat by J&J on October 19, who reported EPS of $2.6 on revenue of $23.34B, compared to forecasts EPS of $2.35 on revenue of $23.64B.

Thermo Fisher Scientific beat all expectations with a third quarter EPS at $5.76 on revenues of $9.33B. This compares to a forecast of EPS at $4.68 for revenue of $8.38B.
