(Reuters) – General Motors Co (NYSE) has seen a greater flow of semiconductors. Most of the North American assembly plants are back in regular production in North America, according to a spokesperson for GM.

According to spokesperson, “In actuality, it was the first week since February when none of our North American assembly plant were inactive due to chip shortage.”

GM’s Third Quarter Earnings were negatively affected by a global shortage in semiconductors and high commodity prices. GM stated it will continue to face these issues until the end of 2022.
