There is no doubt that the bull market is underway. However, the seeming strength of the bull given the rise of the S&P 500 (SPY) is quite suspect. What is the reason? Small caps are doing so badly this year. These small stocks have started to show signs of improvement. Investors who align their portfolios to this trend will be pleased. The S&P has climbed 10% from the lows of October to a new peak of 4,718.

It is even more remarkable that small caps are finally rising from the ashes to gain 12%. This is a positive sign for overall market.
